27-30 November in Potsdam, Germany Foundations for Freedom in partnership between Initiatives for Central and Eastern Europe conducted the Facilitative Leadership Workshop Part 2 for representatives from Ukraine, Romania, Belarus, Poland and Germany.
Applications are coming in for the first Caux Scholars Program to be held at Asia Plateau, the Initiatives of Change center in Panchgani, India. Twenty scholars from across the globe will gather for this intensive three-week academic course that runs from December 28, 2014 to January 16, 2015.
A 12-page report of the Caux conference on Just Governance for Human Security is now available for download. The report carries extracts from the discussions in plenaries and workshops, including the comments of Michael Møller, Director-General of the UN at Geneva in a plenary on 'Trust as a key to peace'; the Russian-Ukrainian statement which emerged from their joint workshops; and the search for solutions to conflict in the Sahel which brought leaders of Mali, Chad and Niger to Caux.
Lawrence Bloom, Chairman of Be Energy and soon to be Secretary General of the Be Earth Foundation, a United Nations intergovernmental organization, took his audience on a journey between the boundaries of right, wrong and the multiple shades of grey in between, when he addressed a TIGETalk in the London centre of Initiatives of Change (IofC) on 7 October.
