The 22nd Asia Pacific Youth Conference (APYC), 'Youth for Change: Ethical Leadership and Trust Building toward Inclusive Global Society', was held in Bandung and was attended by 90 young people from 13 different countries and backgrounds.

International NGO 'Foundations for Freedom' is looking for candidates to take the position of Executive Director.


The seminar intended to address issues of importance to the welfare of Africans in Norway; to promote understanding of the African continent in Norway; and to contribute to growth in political, social and business relations between Norway and Africa.

Denmark is the world’s least corrupt country, according to the annual corruption perception index drawn up by the anti-bribery watchdog Transparency International. It is also one of the most environmentally aware nations. When 20 people met in the Initiatives of Change residential centre in Copenhagen on 28 May they looked at how to encourage the values that build trust in the economy.

John Bond reports on a visit to Ukraine in April, where, despite the immense demands of defending their country, Ukraine is making progress towards establishing ‘European values’. He heard that, hard though it is to overthrow a bad regime, it is harder to build a better one.


The second Lead for Change Youth Workshop was held at Asia Plateau, the Initiatives of Change centre in India, from 1- 5 May. Spread over five days, the workshop saw tremendous output in terms of personal decisions of change, collective steps to bring positive change, plus deep friendships being forged.
